About BoatUS

Founded in 1966, BoatUS (Boat Owners Association of The United States) is a membership-based boating organization offering low-cost boating services to some 530,000 members. BoatUS insures nearly a quarter million recreational boats nationwide; operates the nation’s largest towing-assistance network; publishes BoatUS Magazine (the largest-circulation magazine in the marine industry); and offers a full range of personalized travel services. BoatUS members enjoy discounts on fuel, overnight slips, and boat repairs at over 885 cooperating marinas nationwide. Additionally, BoatUS serves as the voice of recreational boaters on Capital Hill, fighting unfair federal taxes, fees and regulations that single out boat owners.
